CHALLENGE
Penguin Young Readers and Random House Children's Books united to create a collaborative picture book campaign. Each division needed to be equally represented. Additionally, many of the planned printed items were converted to a largely digital campaign to accommodate worldwide in-person closures due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
RESULTS
A joint logo combining both division logos was created to visualize the collaboration between the two known children's publishers. Campaign visuals utilized lifestyle imagery highlighting family moments of togetherness through reading. A muted primary color palette was chosen to appeal to the intended audience of adults buying books for their early readers. The campaign featured virtual story times with celebrities and authors.
